Gemini Code is a hobbyist weekend project that has the ability to read and modify files on your system. Please use this tool with extreme caution and only in non-critical environments.

This application:

• Can read any files in your current directory and subdirectories
• Has the ability to create, modify, and delete files
• Can execute bash commands on your system
• Is experimental and may contain bugs or unexpected behaviors

I built this as a fun weekend hackathon project, inspired by professional tools like Claude Code, but without the same level of testing, safeguards, or security measures. This is not production-ready software.

Recommended safety precautions:

• Only use in disposable environments or dedicated test directories
• Never use in directories containing sensitive or important files
• Consider running in a sandbox or container for added security
• Regularly back up any files you allow the tool to interact with

👾 What is Gemini Code?

Gemini Code is an AI-powered coding assistant that brings the capabilities of Google's Gemini 2.5 Pro directly to your terminal. I built this tool over a weekend hackathon, inspired by Anthropic's Claude Code, to create a similar command-line experience that developers can use right in their existing workflows.
